HSE First Aid Requalification (2 Days)

This First Aid course is designed to fulfil the requirements of the 1981 Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations.

The main objectives of this First Aid course are:

1 To prepare a candidate to administer effective life saving treatment while awaiting the arrival of qualified professionals

2 to assess and diagnose minor injuries with the aim of preventing the casualties condition from worsening

3 To be able to complete accident report forms and forward RIDDOR information when required

There are learning outcomes for each area of the course; but in summary they are:

1. To be able to recognise a casualty who is suspected of suffering a heart attack, or who is unconscious and not breathing and be able to administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation in accordance with current guidelines as set out be the European Resuscitation Council

2. To be able to administer the correct treatment to a casualty who is having difficulty breathing due to an object becoming lodged in their throat

3. To be able to correctly apply a bandage to a bleeding wound that has no foreign objects embedded within it

4. To be able to diagnose and administer the correct treatment for:

A suspected fracture

Medical shock

Spinal injuries

Poisoning

Stroke

Seizures and other causes of unconsciousness.

Vision will provide:

• City based training venue if required

• A bespoke training course to meet the needs of all

• HSE qualified trainer

• HSE approved course over 2 days (Min 12 hours)

Cost: £130.00pp or £850.00 for a dedicated session (max 12 attendees)
