What is Health and Safety and how does it relate to me?
 
The basis of British health and safety law is the Health and Safety at Work etc 
Act 1974.
 
The Act sets out the general duties which employers have towards employees and
members of the public, and employees have to themselves and to each other.

HSE Emergency First Aid at Work (1 Day)

This First Aid course has been created from the Emergency First Aid course with the addition of the role and responsibilities of the Appointed Person as prescribed in the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

HSE First Aid at Work (3 Days)

This course is designed to fulfil the requirements of the 1981 Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations.

The main objectives for this First Aid course are:

HSE First Aid Requalification (2 Days)

This First Aid course is designed to fulfil the requirements of the 1981 Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations.

The main objectives of this First Aid course are:

Paediatric First Aid (Early Years 2 Days)

This course is designed to fulfil the requirements of the 1981 Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations.

The main objectives are:

• Planning for first aid emergencies involving babies and children.

Manual Handling (1 Day) + 1992 Regulations

 

The relevant legislation is the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 (as amended). With regards to training, the guidance to the Regulations states:
