This qualification meets UK / EU legal requirements including National Occupational Standards.
Why is this important?
As a food handler you have a LEGAL OBLIGATION to ensure that you do not cause harm to anyone through bad practice, ignorance or neglect. If you fail to do this you could face fines of up to a maximum of £5,000.00 per offence and / or a prison sentence of six months per 'minor' offence; serious breaches of the law may result in unlimited fines and a prison sentence of up to two years.

Anyone who has a responsibility for safeguarding the health of customers and ensuring that the food they serve or sell is perfectly safe to eat; from managers to kitchen porters.
