At Vision's Core
Brendan Blewett
Brendan Blewett is the co-owner of Vision Development Consultants Ltd and Vision Community Training Ltd. Although responsible for many key areas within each Organisation Brendan’s passion really comes to light when mentoring key individuals and decision making bodies from other Companies. Brendan redefines individual comfort zones and hierarchy in order to challenge the established thought processes and therefore stimulate latent creativity. Particularly successful for individual mentoring is Brendan’s analysis of collaborative thinking through the process of creating abstract art.
Over the years Brendan has successfully worked with many business owners and Entrepreneurs worldwide. His key attribute lies in the ability to empathize with the clients, their needs and their unique situation which then results in effective and workable solutions which make sense; so don’t mention off the shelf solutions. His experience ranges from change management, strategic planning, leadership and business development to revenue generation; but don’t expect Brendan to supply the answers, only you know your business and Brendan’s expertise is helping you to find the solutions that suit you best, which you understand and which you feel can make a difference.
In a previous life Brendan was an Education Manager and was responsible for staffing, short, medium and long-term planning and financials. When Brendan took over the department it was regarded as failing; upon his departure it was regarded as one of the best departments in the country and was highlighted in the book Success against the Odds published by Rutledge.
Brendan was also responsible for developing, managing and evaluating visionED, and educational wing of Vision which operates a full time educational unit for permanently excluded students.
He is skilled in running successful development programmes for various Organisations and across all sectors, including Government, 3rd Sector, Corporate and Higher Education.
Brendan became an East Midlands Business Champion in 2007.
Brendan’s membership also consists of being an EMDA Business Champion, Passport to Export Advisor working Closely with Companies and the (UKTI) United Kingdom Trade & Industry and also a board member for the Rural Educational Arts Project (REAP).
Brendan is an enthusiastic if hopeless golfer and welcomes any meeting on the golf course.
