Case Studies
Case study ~ Serco
Vision Working Partnership
As is often commonplace at this time of year it was a cold, wet and somewhat bleak winter morning when Brendon contacted me and said "Kevin, I need a favour". Even after a few months, our professional relationship had developed sufficiently for me to want to offer my help. Listening intently, I soon released that Brendon was asking me to write a testimonial for Vision's new website. Reflecting over our history and our successful interaction with Sharon and Brendon (and the other members of the Vision team), I welcomed the opportunity to offer my thoughts on what can only be described as a progressive and dynamic company.
As a Head of Education for Serco, I was pleased when Vision originally made contact. I had a number of contacts that had moved establishment and told stories of a company that was keen to play a part called "Vision".
Speaking to one of my colleagues, we had soon obtained contact details and invited Vision to view our facilities and discuss the potential for collaborative working. As is often the case, both Brendon and Sharon made the initial effort to visit our site. They approached the situation with interest and more importantly myriad ideas on how we could develop our education provision; at no point did I feel I was dealing with sales people and was pleasantly surprised when they offered to arrange meetings with other education professionals. Dealing with both Brendon and Sharon was like dealing with your friends, from our first meeting I knew that Brendon and Sharon were people that we could work with.
Rarely have I been so impressed with an approach to business and education that makes a customer feel so at ease. I feel that Vision has strong work ethic with an emphasis on collaborative working. It is clear that they are happy in their chosen profession and this happiness is evident in the entire Vision team. They have already invited me to the opening of their new premises in Nottingham and a Christmas Party. You do not only feel a customer when you work with Vision but also friend.
